Baby and Kids Ready-To-Wear Sector Makes a Fresh Start to 2020 with Junioshow
Organized by Tüyap Bursa Fairs Organization Inc. and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) in collaboration with Baby and Kids Clothing Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (BEKSIAD), Junioshow has ended. The fair held with the participation of nearly 200 firms was visited by 27 thousand 892 business professionals from 65 countries.
Junioshow Fair, one of the most important gatherings of the babies and kids ready-to-wear sector in Turkey, attracted great interest of visitors this year as well. Being the first fair of 2020 in Bursa and hosting its visitors at Tüyap Bursa International Fair Convention and Congress Center between January 8-11th, Junioshow strengthened the exports of the sector. The fair visited by nearly 1300 foreign buyers from 65 countries under the scope of Trade Safari Project of BTSO and the efforts of foreign liaison offices of TÜYAP opened the way for business connections worth of millions of dollars.
THE FAIR REASSURES THE SECTOR
Rendering that babies and kids ready-to-wear sector started 2020 with a positive mood, BTSO Deputy Board Director İsmail Kuş said that nearly 10 thousand models shaping the world's trend have been offered to the professional buyers in the fair. Indicating that nearly 200 companies participated in the fair organized in 4 different halls in an area of 20 thousand square meters, İsmail Kuş stated, "Our companies exhibited their baby and kids (0-12 ages) apparel springsummer creations. Through our works we perform under the scope of UR-GE and Trade Safari Project as BTSO, we gathered together foreign buyers from all over the world in this fair. Having made huge contributions to the exports potential of the sector since the very first day, Junioshow has witnessed many collaborations once more. We will continue supporting our sector in the following period. I would like to thank our Ministry of Trade, TÜYAP Bursa and BEKSİAD for their contributions to the organization of our fair."
27,892 BUSINESS PEOPLE FROM 65 COUNTRIES FOCUS ON THE MARKET IN BURSA
Evaluating Junioshow Fair that brought together domestic and foreign baby and kids clothing sector, İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of TÜYAP Bursa Fairs Organization Inc., said that Junioshow Fair, the first meeting point of 2020, was visited by 27,892 business professionals from 65 countries. Ersözlü also indicated that the fair created added value to both the region and country economy with orders worth millions of dollars given to the fair which attracted huge interest from Turkey and abroad, also stated that "Nearly 200 participant companies exhibited latest trends of the spring-summer concept on uniform stands, offering more than 10 thousand models. In Junioshow Fair we prepared with diversified advertising activities, we hosted 1245 business professionals from 65 countries under the scope of UR-GE project of BTSO with the coordination of the Ministry of Trade. The sector representatives from 49 provinces in Turkey visited the fair. The business connections started during the fair have contributed greatly to the sector's production, competition and exports."
SECOND MEETING OF THIS YEAR IN 10 - 13 JUNE 2020
Speaking that the second Junioshow Fair of the year will host its visitors with the concept of "Fall & Winter" between 10th - 13th of July, 2020, Ersözlü stated, "We have already started to make preparations for Junioshow Fair. The fair, where decorated booths will be exhibited as always, will be realized with the participation of companies who want to open themselves up to new markets and expand their current market share."
"FOREIGN BUYERS HAVE SHOWN GREAT INTEREST"
Ömer Yıldız, the Chairman of the Baby and Kids Clothing Industrialists and Businessmen's Association (BEKSIAD), emphasized that Junioshow Fair boosted the impetus of the sector. Expressing that the companies participating in the fair which has brought together the sector were extremely satisfied with the interest of particularly the foreign buyers, Yıldız stated that “We see that nearly 2 thousand foreigners including those who came through their own means visited the fair. It is a great success to attract so many foreigners to the fair despite the current issues in our geographical area. The fair that ended with the execution of many export contracts has given hope to our sector for 2020. I would like to BTSO and TÜYAP with which we have worked in cooperation for the improvement of our sector."
